Founder & Wealth Management Advisor

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, CFP®

Arguably one of the most stringent and coveted is the Certified Financial Planning® designation. To obtain a CFP®, a candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher (in any discipline) from an accredited college or university, complete coursework on financial planning through a CFP Board Registered Program, pass the two-day exam which lasts for three hours each day, and complete either 6,000 hours of professional experience related to the financial planning process or 4,000 hours of apprenticeship experience that meets additional requirements.

CERTIFIED DIVORCE FINANCIAL ANALYST, CDFA®

Going through a divorce can be gut-wrenching, and too often people make decisions based on emotion rather than hard financial logic. Tami earned this designation to help women through the difficult life transition of divorce, focused on running numbers, long-term goals, and advising parties on financial settlements based on fairness. “CDFA professionals can provide invaluable information that allows the court to arrive at a fair, equitable, and just resolution – not just at the moment of trial, but down the road as well.”

CERTIFIED INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT ANALYST, CIMA®

The Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) concentrates and tests an advisor’s ability to apply a balance of theory and practical knowledge to provide insightful guidance, portfolio construction, portfolio management, and risk management for individual and institutional clients. CIMA® designees must have at least three years of financial services experience and a satisfactory record of ethical conduct, as determined by Investments & Wealth Institute Admissions Committee. Continuing education requirements include 40 hours of coursework every two years.

CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUNSELOR, CRPC®

The CRPC® professional designation enables experienced advisors who focus on retirement planning for individuals to define a “roadmap to retirement” for their clients. Fiduciary, ethical, and regulatory issues are front and center, and there is a focus on clients’ pre- and post-retirement needs, as well as issues related to income streams, investing and asset management, retirement health care options, and estate planning. The designation also concentrates on Social Security as well as military and government retirement benefits.

ACCREDITED FINANCIAL COUNSELOR, AFC®

The AFC® certification mark is intended to represent the highest standard of excellence in the field of financial counseling and education, and the path to AFC certification is intentionally designed as one of the most rigorous and thorough programs in the industry. The AFC certification program is guided by research, rooted in academia, and supported by industry experts in helping advisors understand how diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences impact clients’ money behaviors so they can better serve them.
